Millcreek Doxie Derby

Millcreek Common and the Wasatch Front Wiener Dog Racing Association present the second annual running of the Wieners (and spinning of the vinyls)

After last year’s howling success, the Derby returns bigger, better and setting records in the world of wiener dog racing. Local Dachshunds aka Wiener Dogs aka Doxies will race for glory, prizes and belly rubs at this friendly competition on the 75 foot track at the Millcreek Common Skate Loop! Is your wiener a winner? Don your Derby attire, celebrate the end of winter, and join us for an unforgettable race.

Schedule of Events:

Festival Hours: 3 – 7 pm

Doxie Check in: 3 – 4 pm

First Heat: 4 pm

Organizer’s have made some crowd-pleasing modifications sure to have your tail wagging. Introducing a live feed from the Derby Jumbotron, live brackets and a soon to be legendary kiss (boop) cam. Our 75 ft racing track is wider with elevated platforms and more room for humans to cheer on the furry racers:
