As NYC’s first all-female mariachi\, Mireya Ramos and Shae Fiol blend tradition with innovation\, performing everywhere from NPR’s Tiny Desk to Coachella and The White House. Their fearless storytelling and bold sound continue to redefine what mariachi can be. \nMariachi Fuego \nFounded in April 2023 by director Marx Huancas\, Mariachi Fuego is Utah’s only professional youth mariachi group\, and they’re already making waves with weekly bookings across the state. With a powerful 15-member lineup\, including 6 violins\, 3 trumpets\, guitars\, and vihuelas\, this ensemble delivers fiery performances full of talent and passion. \nMariachi México en Utah \nFormed in 2020 in Salt Lake City under the direction of Edwin Agudelo\, Mariachi México en Utah is one of the state’s most beloved groups. Their performances celebrate the classic works of José Alfredo Jiménez\, Juan Zaizar\, and Raymundo Pérez\, with a traditional sound grounded in violin\, vihuela\, trumpet\, and guitarrón. \nMariachi Sol de Jalisco \nAs one of Utah’s original mariachi bands\, Mariachi Sol de Jalisco has been enriching the state’s cultural landscape since 1992. Founded by Jesus Orozco Martínez and his family\, the group has performed at festivals and theaters across the region and has backed iconic artists including Ana Barbara\, Carmen Jara\, and Pablo Montero.
