Events may be subject to change due to snow and weather conditions\, but the Bryce Canyon Winter Festival will be held regardless of snow conditions. \nWhile the current forecast does not show snow\, the Bryce Canyon Winter Festival will still move forward with a full lineup of exciting events. All snow-specific activities have been canceled; however\, we are pleased to add an Archery Competition on Monday instead of the Cross Country Ski Competition. \nEvening Astrophotography Stargazing sessions will be held at the Rim Pavilion with telescopes\, heaters\, and shuttle service available for guest convenience. \nPlease note the Dixie Walk Tour will not be offered this year due to staffing limitations. \nOur featured guest speaker\, Suzanne Adams of BYU\, will present a must-attend program Sunday evening. A full schedule and event descriptions will be released soon. \n2025 Winter Festival was a huge success.\nTo all of the participants and the invaluable volunteers\, THANK YOU!\nWe are already looking forward to 2026.

DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate the 2026 Lunar New Year\, the year of the Horse! \nThe Horse’s symbolism as part of The Lunar New Year is strength\, freedom\, energy and success. \nPeople born in the year of the horse are believed to be adventurous\, warm-hearted and independent. \n  \nLion Dances are a traditional part of the celebration of the New Year and symbolize power\, wisdom and bring prosperity and good luck to the New Year. \nDuring the Lion Dance it is considered lucky if one is touched by a lion. \nIf you would like some extra luck for the new year\, “feeding” the lion with a lucky red envelope is supposed to bring good luck and is also considered a donation for the martial arts troupe setting up the performance. \n  \nEVENT DETAILS:\n\n6:00 PM – Lion Dance parade will go from RC Willey to Dillard’s and then out to The Orchard.\nFireworks will be at the conclusion of the parade\, with the viewing area in The Orchard.  Fireworks will be lunched from the Parking Lot just north of The Orchard.\nTreats from P.F. Chang’s (while supplies last) will be located in Village Court.\nFeel free to get pictures with the performers after the parade.\nGet photos at the Lunar New Year photo op In Village Court from February 16th – February 21st.\n\n

Balloons flying are never guaranteed at an event like this. But there is so much more to do if there is “Bad Weather”. Stay for the entertaining bands\, vendors and more! If it is too windy or raining/snowing there will be no lantern launch on Friday night\, but there will be a candle stick show from our balloon pilots on Center Street Saturday night (pictured below).
